Finality of Life

I am what I am.
Flesh, muscle and blood
With emotions, which once ebbed,
Return to smother and flood
My heart. It beats wildly,
Concealed deep within my being.
It pumps my blood to fuel my brain
To realise what I am seeing
Today. My eye holds a spark
Deep within its mire.
It fiercely burns, despite this life,
To show the raw passion and fire
Of my soul. This part of me is waiting
And to comfort it is quiestly singing,
As around the weaker few are fainting
As distantly, the final bell is ringing.
