I read in a twelve-step book a definition of honesty as "absence of the intent to deceive".

To your own self be true, the truth shall set you free. Be vigilant! A half-truth is the most dangerous lie.

Truth will prevail, the truth of the Lord endures forever.

Interesting collection, Tom. Half-truths disguise the lie in themselves, and lead astray. Of course the truth that sets free is told us by Jesus (John 8:32)
