Our Body of Love
Upon a kiss our love was borne.
From there it grew into beauty.
It flourished, for all to see.
It would never die.
Our body of love stumbled and fell ill.
Found was a cure, but you would not use it.
Uncertain, you witheld.
Now, it must be buried beneath the soil.
Strange it should be consigned to death, though its heart still
beats.
Our body of love will suffocate, but for now it struggles for
breath.
Your oxygen has been withdrawn, why won't you replace it?
Without it, our love will wither, though will never end.
The heart continues to beat, and our body of love will not die until my
heart rests.
