Orbit

I am as a moon to you,
orbiting but never drawing near
or do you revolve around me?
Perhaps we shape ellipses,
drawing closer for a time,
then floating away to distance
but always returning to the closeness.
maybe one day I'll go exploring
to find if we are planets or moons,
until that time it suits us
to be in different rooms
