'Tick',
Said the clock,
That cried my name,
Saying heartily,
That life is a game,
Sometimes,
You have it,
Sometimes,
You don't.
Sometimes,
You'll win it,
Sometimes,
You won't.
It plays with your mind,
Messes
With your head,
But time is not kind,
And soon you are dead.
Life is a game,
That you cannot win,
One that's unfair, unkind and unjust,
One that doesn't ask to begin,
Or say 'When you're ready,
Press start and you're in.'
Life is a game,
Play it while you can.
'Tock',
Replies the clock,
A second like eternity,
A lifetime for some,
Play your time carefully,
Because the end
Shall come.
