When the Thatch took power
Geoff composed a ditty
After a French bloke
About an essence or blob
Who also wanted it
Not for 'justice' or 'equality'
But for something better, more noble
His own power, his own aggrandizement

I thought of it in Kazimierz
'Cos the dude wanted to be King of Poland
But then the guy said 'neighbouring Czech State'
So I thought of Jan instead
A taxi driver who looked like
Tony Harrison
But also more noble and in some ways
(But not others) 'better'

He made a Faustian pact
Distantly with Geoff
And ran a train through me head
