Only a few non-random molecules of the big picture,
the big, fat, juicy dream of you and I
will stick in my mind, sugar lump,
and it's your physicality that I'll remember most fondly.
That's just the way it is, it's the way of all flesh,
so think on it. Think on it very hard indeed.
Don't expect me to shout your praises from the rooftops,
honey-bunch,
or tell everyone about your charity work
and your love of mistreated pooches and disabled kiddies.
Don't expect me to wax lyrical over your sodding paintings,
because it's not going to happen. Sorry.
They're nice enough and I'd hang them on my wall
without feeling in the slightest bit ashamed,
but they're nothing particularly special -
and it's kinder that you know that.
Considering all that, Twisty Woman,
I'd like you to brand me with an 'r' for realistic
rather than a 'cc' for cruel cunt, but you know as well as I do
that that isn't going to happen.
That smeared red lipstick, though,
makes you look bloody lovely, lover,
and the way you suck on your cigarette as if your life depends on it
seductively exhaling smoke from your nostrils
turns me on for reasons I don't care to explore.
Fuck, lady, your slightly dangly doobreys are something else,
and the heady aroma of your great, dark Bermuda,
the triangle where many poor blokes, no doubt, have gone missing
tickles the gutter of my throat
where your combined flavours merge and ferment
and will, over time, become legend.
Litany, follow me for a little while.
Oh, come on, surely you owe me that much;
I've done all the chasing so far, smarty-pants.
I followed your incandescent footprints from afar
along paths I'd never trodden before,
and I sniffed your pungent scat
through utterly alien territory.
I was scared shitless, believe it or not,
but bravely I followed your scent trail
until I found your lair,
and believe me, it was worth it.
I'll never forget the smell of your glory,
the bitter and the sweet and the thoroughly indescribable,
the stench of all humanity
congealed into one astounding package
become
indescribably you.
