The Game Of Kanga
Rules of Kanga -
1. Like Football/Soccer there are two opposing teams of 5 and two goals at either end of a pitch or, if playing indoors, court and, like football/Soccer, it is the aim of the game to score goals by putting a ball in the goal of your opponent. Furthermore, like football/soccer, there is a goal keeper defending each goal.
2. Unlike football/soccer players are not allowed to run or walk, they must move around the pitch/court by either jumping with two legs or hopping on one.
3. Furthermore they can use both hands and feet to pass the ball and score goals
A Zag Race
A Zag race is a race in which competitors progress up a track by jumping in a zig-zag while weaving through a line of skittles without knocking any of the skittles down or in other words they jump to the left of the first skittle then infront of it, to the right of the next skittle then infront of it and so on until they've jumped infront of the last skittle.
The person who reaches the end first and knocks down the least skittles doing it wins the race.
Whurling - A target hitting game using centrifugal force
Whurling is a target hitting game played with a ball on a rope and using centrifugal force to propel the ball towards the target.
Players stand within a whirling circle, then whirl around like someone performing a hammer throw swinging the ball round upon the rope as they turn.
Then they try to stop at the right moment and let go of the rope so that the ball will hit the target.
The Whurling Target: The whurling target is like a vertical ring on top of a pole; 5 points are awarded for hitting and knocking down the target but 10 points are awarded for getting the ball through the ring.
Essentially you could say that it is similar to the Hammer Throw except that the ball is a small light ball rather than a large heavy one and also the aim of Whurling is not just propelling the ball but hitting a target.
The Game of Base Race - A strategic racing sport
This is the 3 base version but you could do this game with 4 or more bases if you wish.
There are 3 bases and 3 runners.
First they run to get onto one of the bases - The first to reach a base scores a point.
Then they have to run to a different base - The first to reach a different base scores a point.
Again they have to run to a base they haven't stood on already - The first to reach that scores another point
Finally they have to run to the original base they picked - The first to reach their original base scores a point.
And the player with the most points wins.
Strategy? I see no strategy - Well there is a little bit because a player would be wise to try and work out in advance bases that they will run to so that all their bases are close to each other. Ofcourse, because you never know which bases your opponents will pick, there's no guarantee that someone won't beat you to a base you've picked in advance and spoil your plan and yet if all does go to plan it could be the thing that helps you win the race. Furthermore, the more bases and runners you have in the race, the more strategic it can be and you could also make contingency plans so that if someone does get to a base you've picked before you then there are other nearby bases you can run to.
