X and Y has five simple rules:
Rule 1: Players take turns verbally awarding each other ammounts of X or Y, for example, "I give you 2 x and 3 y". These ammounts of X and Y are game points of undetermined value.
Rule 2: The players do this a minimum of 4 times.
Rule 3: When both players have been awarded 4 times. ONE player decides the numerical value of X and THE OTHER player decides the numerical value of Y.
Rule 4: Once these values have been established. The players add up how many game points they awarded each other.
Rule 5: The player with the most game points wins.
Complaint: I don't get the point of this game.
Answer: The point is that when the players are awarding each other points at the beginning of the game they don't know how many points they are giving each other and, thus, they are forced to give points randomly.
