Alive

I imagine being revived by your kiss time and time again; struggling forth from underwater; almost drowned but not dead and then kissing you; a bubble bursting between our lips, or running out of a house on fire with my clothes all covered in flame and kissing you with bright, hot lips or, having been choked of air, kissing you; a kiss of life breathing air back into me or, having bitten into a poisoned apple, like Snow White, my eyes opening again at the touch of your lips, for there is something within your kiss that is like the essence of living; like the shock of a defibrillator to my heart and only when I kiss you do I feel truly alive.
