Artificial infrared-radiation absorbers (or refractors): Idea for reducing global warming

Global warming is caused because greenhouse gasses absorb and emit infrared radiation; so why not artificially absorb that infrared radiation in a way that will not re-emit the radiation? Or perhaps refract the radiation. If you can’t get people to stop producing greenhouse gasses then try stopping the radiation.

This might seem like a crazy suggestion but dark matt surfaces absorb infrared radiation, so how about creating vast dark matt surfaces to absorb lots of infrared radiation and keep its level down?

Or perhaps refracting the infrared radiation with giant prisms could reduce it.

Again, please be kind; I am not a scientist and so I may be talking nonsense but I do think that tackling the radiation rather than the gasses seems like a plausible idea.
