The blossom on the hawthorn;
so pretty, pure and white,
seeing you on a Spring morn
fills me with such delight.
Some say you are enchanted,
that you bring love and birth.
I just know, where you’re planted,
you brighten up the Earth.
The blossom on the Hawthorn,
gentle, cheery and mild,
reminds me of a new born;
sweet laughter of a child.
Oh blooms as fair as maidens
who marry in the May;
if you’re magic, I pray then,
you’ll bring true love my way.
