Four and Twenty– A dice game for two or more players:
THE DIVISION DICE: Instead of whole numbers, a division dice has, upon its six sides, the numbers 1 (whole); a half; a third; a quarter; a sixth and a twelfth
There are 24 points. These 24 points are called a pie.
Players roll for pieces of a pie.1 WHOLE= 24 points;1 HALF= 12 points; ONE THIRD = 8 points; ONE QUARTER= 6 points; ONE SIXTH = 4 points and ONE TWELFTH = 2 points.
The aim of the game is to collect all the pieces of a pie. All 24 points, through your dice rolls. For example, if you were to roll a half twice then you would have two halves of the Pie.
However, players are not allowed to have any more than 24 points. Any dice rolls that will take a players score over 24 are discounted or they may be swapped for an opponents dice roll.
EGGSTRAVAGANZA -
- This is a roll and move race game which is played upon a chequered (PINK, BABY BLUE, YELLOW AND WHITE) board like a chess/draughts board and players MAY MOVE IN ANY DIRECTION they wish (Vertically, Horizontally or Diagonally).
- However, they must ONLY move the NUMBER of squares that they roll.
- Although the EGGSTRAVAGANZA board has the same number of squares in the same arrangement as a chess/draughts board, just like other roll and move race games, it has“Jump forward” and “Jump Back” and “Roll Again” squares as well as “Collect Egg squares”.
- Aim of the Game: Each player has an Easter Bunny game piece (Every bunny is a different colour) with a basket. The aim of the game is to move to 3 “Collect Egg Squares” and pick up three “Easter Egg” shaped prize pieces (placing them in the Easter Bunny’s Basket) and then race to the finishing square.
- Question: IF THIS IS JUST A ‘ROLL AND MOVE RACE GAME’ LIKE LUDO THEN WHY PLAY IT ON A DRAUGHTS LIKE BOARD AND ALLOW FREE DIRECTION OF MOVEMENT?Answer: It is a racing game but a racing game in which players have to think because they have to decide which is the quickest route to their goal and move accordingly.
SAMURAI– a game of quick reaction and reflexes for two players–
a) Players have a white six sided dice with a red dragon on 3 sides and a blue dragon on 3 sides.
b) To the left of the players is a blue vertical line. To the right of the players is a red vertical line.
c) One player elects to be blue, the other player elects to be red.
d) Each turn, one player rolls the dice. If their colour comes up they have to either grab hold of the dice or sweep it sideways with their hand over the line of their colour and if they do this they score a point.
e) If their opponent stops them from getting the dice by grabbing it first or by sweeping it sideways over the line of their colour they win the point.
f) How to win: There are 3 turns in a round and the player that wins atleast 2 out of 3 turns wins a round. There are 3 rounds in a match and the player that wins atleast 2 out of 3 rounds wins the match
