The Moon, he is my brother
and my sister is the Sun
and, when we look at one and other,
somehow I feel that we are one.
Somehow my heart needs Nature’s beauty
as much as my lungs need the air
and, deep within, I feel the duty
of Earth’s companionship and care.
It’s something stronger than affection;
a kind of longing in my heart;
almost a physical connection
to this great Earth of which I’m part.

Our hearts do need nature and
Our hearts do need nature and beauty. Your poem represents that need, and the need to preserve and be part of it, too.
Lovely thoughts,
