The New Year Fairy

When champagne corks go pop
and fireworks go boom
and midnight bells begin to chime
who flies into the room?

Why the New Year fairy, of course.
With a whoooosh she comes whizzing your way,
sprinkling some sparkle and swishing her wand;
granting good wishes on New Year’s day.

And she flies about all of the bedrooms
where the good boys and girls are in bed
and reaching deep in her big magical bag
sprinkles glitter on all of their heads.

And she magics them up a fairy cake
with a wave of the wand in her hand;
a magic cake only fairies bake
then she flies home to fairytale land.
