To you, lovely Summer

If soft breeze can, the pages, turn
and Sun’s eye that goldenly burns
can read those words I’ve written here,
like pure water, I’m sure it’s clear
how much I love you Summer days
and bless your breeze and brightening rays;
each multi-coloured bird that sings;
each spot on a ladybirds wing;
each gentle petal of each rose
and their sweet scent which thrills my nose;
each luminous white cloud above;
how, every blade of grass, I love
and every leaf on every tree
because their glow gives life to me.
