fire chases through me
as i am tempted by, to me
a ravaging beauty
a bruised heart, restrained by
the pain of yesterday
reaching silently for
all my tomorrows
a whisper escapes
her trembling lips
as she comes forward
to the promises always
before alluded
sweet temptress angel of my
desire, a secret not well
kept close to my heart
a beating of time and
truth unfolds in the
memories of a day when the
sun shone brightly with
daisies chained around her
neck tempting me beyond
