Jaded

Jaded is the way I hold your head up
speaking when theres nothing left to say
it's the thought that when I leave it's all been worth it
that I can look back on the road that led the way
it's the colour of our soul that makes us human
but it's a shame some people never know the light
I would spend some time to hope to know you better
to wish and pray you won't give up the fight.

Jaded is the time that I spend thinking
wondering if it's all that I can do
A whisper in the hope of someone hearing what I say
because whispering is all there's left to do
I've tried to dream and tried to scream
I tried so hard to make a scene

I guess tomorrow I'll have to try a little harder
