The Life or Death Situation

 

Life without Death

This may sound freeing

But Death is the only thing

Life will end up being

Life was swept off their feet

In a way that took away their breath

When asked what this sensation was

The stranger replied Death

Some believe to die is the opposite of living

Because they fail to realize that Life

Is not a gift that keeps on giving

Your mind, body and soul is what Life gives you to start

But you only get to rent these things till Death do you part

To live is the beginning and to die is the end

Life often deals you things only Death can mend

You can take the wound by the handle

And remove the emotional knife

You can have that gone along with all the strife

But the one thing you can’t have

Is Death without Life

 

Life and Death

Interested after their first greeting

Decided that they should keep on meeting

One day, Life got the idea to make the Dinosaur

They were enormous with wings, claws, and so much more

Once, two large ones with arms so short

Decided to attack their creator, Life, for sport

Death saw that these monsters made Life cry

So Death put one finger to the ground

Causing all the dinosaurs to die

Life was so grateful for what Death had done

This is when Life and Death became one

Life decided to create a flower for Death

Bursting with vibrant color on every side

But when Death went and picked it

It shriveled up and died

Life was hurt but said it was okay

Life made more the very next day

With each passing year their relationship strives

Until the day Life creates the human who has

jobs, and full names, some even had wives

These didn’t harm Life like the others did

So Life loved every adult and kid

Life enjoyed watching them strive

Wanting them to forever stay alive

Death tried to warn Life that this would end badly

But Life was in love with these humans, quite madly

When resources and space were depleting

Death decided to make hearts stop beating

It was a sight Life couldn’t believe

Life wanted badly for Death to just leave

The thought of Life’s creations dying

Left Life feeling so forlorn

That Life had banished Death

And their bond was torn

 

Life without Death

To be frank, would suck

This theory was proven when

One day tragedy struck

Lives all over the place

So much Life, but no more space

The idea of eternal Life turned to woe

Life then decided that some lives had to go

This was not a job that Life knew how to do

But the world was crumbling as immortal lives grew

Life knew it was time to admit defeat

Because without Death, Life is not complete

So Life said unto Death, I have a gift for you

I’ll allow you to take lives, In the way that you do

Death took some lives

But he felt a love for the souls

The souls so pure and true

That after he took them, he’d send them back

To be reborn and live a Life anew

The cycle continued as a game they’d play

Forever people live and die each day

 

Death without Life

Will not set you free

For Life is just the thing

Death used to be

Once Death decided to sweep someone off their feet

Death felt something that seemed to melt away their strife

When asked what this sensation was

The stranger replied Life

Some believe to live is the opposite of dying

Because they fail to realize that

Death is the only way to stop Life’s crying

Your mind, body and soul were leased the day your Life begun

You must return these things to Death once you are done

Life is the starting point and the destination is to die

Death dries your tears when Life makes you cry

You can remove your emotional knife to let your wound bleed out

Along with the blood you can get rid of all the doubt

You can have your last words gone with your final breath

But the one thing you can’t have

Is Life without Death
