If you’re one of those who believe
then hang them up on Christmas eve .
Around the house when it is still .
Empty stockings left out to fill .
Children’s names are stitched on the side .
They’re made with love owned with pride .
In pretty colours red and green.
With silver glitter in between .
There’s jingle bells and pictures too,
on Christmas stockings made for you .
Things that fill them you cannot choose .
Nothing to win.
Nothing to loose.
That’s the magic of a stocking .
There’s little bits of everything .
