It waits, as all great predators wait
Still, then fast and accurate
Hiding, stalking its prey
Till the time is right to strike
Only then will it become visible
But not in our form, our shape
But in its own creation,
It takes, when it wants and what it wants
With no pity, no weakness
Power too brutal for us to believe
Knowing no boundaries
Taking no prisoners
No beating heart or stirring soul
Just a blackness that consumes.

I love to put my own psyche
I love to put my own psyche into this sort of creation, it has transported me and I am glad of it - but what is it?

Your words strike back and
Your words strike back and forth, making me read again and then some more. I need an answer to the dilemma. Great poem.

  Very mysterious, jolono;-)
A powerful poem, that to me spoke of all consuming depression, that blights many of us at sometime during our lives.
Nice one;-)
