A clear autumn afternoon

The fog has lifted,
autumn colours glow and warm,
crisp, crunchy footfall on the ground,
then far away glint pale grey silhouettes
– Welsh hills against the golden clouds,
and slanting rays of light from roof of lowering grey,
as afternoon approaches evening still and clear.

I know what you mean about that fog and mist, Rhiannon, it was so glorious to see the sun rise this morning whilst I drank my cuppa;-)
Your poem captured, admirably, what I saw too, except for the Welsh hills, of course.
Very much enjoyed.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
Another lovely descriptive poem - of autumn and the weather and a general feeling of good will.
