Bring only Hope {poem for Rembrance)

Bring only hope unto these shores
That beckon so much pain
Bring only joy and happiness
And spread it with no shame

For though we seek such futile things
A treasure trove we but ignore
For it is truth that we must seek
Upon these lonely shores

A truth of love, blessed in peace
That knows no end of time
That drives out that darkest hour
Shining light to the sublime

Our minds are filled with want and dream
Though broken when once found
Our heart, our soul we can but deceive
Cast tangled along the ground

This tangled life of endless change
No anchor can hold down
With only trust and loyalty
Can foundation strike note a solid sound

Ring out that bell upon this land
Take hold of trusty sword
Defend the peace with love no bounds
Save joy for ever more

Bring only hope unto these shores
Bring heart and soul and mind
For without hope we know no joy
Our rest is never found.
