We all deserve happiness

All of us,
no matter where we are from

Or what we have done, deserve a second

third
Fourth
Fifth
Chance at happiness

We all deserve the chance to heal
To cure ourselves

to mend our broken hearts
To love again

there is no other journey
In this life worth taking but that one

It is the one that will set you free
The hardest thing that you might do

some do it young
Some do it old

Some never do it and die prisoners
of their minds

Let us work together to be cognizant
of that fact

The fact of another chance

we may not want to give it
We may not be able to

but someone else can

if life is pain, it is also healing.

bravo md - last line is a poem to remember in itself, which is great because it's short and my memory is dodgy! - you have at times a way of saying things so gently and clearly, it works :)

there's a reminder for me to appreciate and verbalize the goodstuff, by this poem it is easy to -it is just FACT! Memory is a funny business, storage, and recall--I used to memorise scripts etc...I can never remember any lines from poems, including mine -should try, good practice exercise for a more recently clearer un-fuddled brain!
