    From my mother's sitting room
I contemplate the darkening
of the garden
Another summer
passing from its youth
into maturity
I see each distant arc
Each great ellipse
I feel the weight
of time in motion
Remote, aloof, indifferent
Delicate
as late frost
upon a blade of grass
The whole of history
awaits the seasons' turn

Lovely, this - contemplating
Lovely, this - contemplating the passing of time through the maturing of her garden, but you get the feeling of deeper meaning, too. I want to read this again...

Beautiful. Really brought to me the sense of pleasure from nature's perfect circles.
