Pirate bite

 
I lost my teeth, 
- front ones.
Don't worry,
I'm s'pose to
They were milk teeth - see.
I'm getting new ones.
They'll grow through 
... soon maybe.
But for now, it's funny,
because when I bite 
I must use the teeth
to the left and the right.
When I eat an apple
I bite to the side,
makes me look like a pirate -
So I say 
Aaaarrrgh!

Thanks for the Cherries admin. Once I had explained to my neice what that meant, she was pretty pleased to have got an award - "so it's kind of like a gold star on your work, only its not gold it's red and it's not a star, it's cherries".

Yes it's a nice activity.

We pick a random object or subject and then discuss it and form it into a poem. They like to choose the most mundane item. Like a purple plastic cup - to see what we can make of it.
