Facebook oh Facebook your such a false friend
We'll love you and cherish you right to the end
It starts when you register to find long lost mates
The world is your oyster until you close the gate
The drug they call Facebook drags you right in
Your first "friend" is contacted for you to begin
It's like pyramid selling the list has no end
The concept is easy you "like" all your friends
"Friends" from your schooldays and from your past
New "friends" you encounter it's a bit of a blast
You log on each morning without knowing why
You "like" all their answers, where does the time fly?
Time to "click" on someone not encountered before
A "friendship" request makes them two hundred and four
Too look at each "friend" takes more and more time
To attempt something else is just wasting your time
What things do they place on their Facebook Wall?
Trivialities and pictures showing their having a ball
I've asked so many friends could they last a day
Without access to Facebook, their answer "No way"
When was the last time that you clicked on a "friends" site?
To see negative comments about something they write
What would then happen, gosh! Would they take flight?
Someone's had the nerve to "dislike" something they write!
It's hard to leave Facebook as you get drawn into its trends
No enemies on Facebook, just so many "friends"!
My challenge is simple, but, my challenge is to say
Could you last without Facebook for more than one day?

I've never been on facebook
I've never been on facebook in my life Edward.
I love the rhythm and rhyme in your poem.
I think I'd rather remember old friends from the past as they were.
Jenny.
