Frost reigned for a while,

Breathing its chilly cobwebs

Slow across the ground

 

Sounding a crick-crack,

A slow-freezing testament

For those ears who hear

 

Hare runs in moonlight,

The palest rainbow curving

His arc de triomphe  

 

The streets have no name,

Land and water united

Under hoarse white coat

 

The snow does not lie:

Truth of the grey emerging

Again from the soil

Thank you very much. I think the Black Rabbit from 'Watership Down' was at the back of my mind, as shown in the 1978 animated film, and how he sort of jumped in curving shadows, seen by those in crisis or about to die. I adapted it to a more positive image.
