… have seen a great light.” Isaiah 9:2
[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
When darkness grips
and happiness slips
a Word of light
guides in the night.
Adam was told
grace would unfold
for God would send
the rift to mend.
Abram then heard
and taught God’s Word –
they were to tell
grace comes for all..
But to be freed
from guilt they need
a Lamb to die,
their pardon buy.
They strayed and scorned
God’s ways – He warned.
Some trusted – Come,
Messiah Son!

very poetic language
Very poetic language Rhiannon! Beautiful rhyme, lovely rhythm. Good choice of a lighthouse for the cover!
Blessed be him not in the council of "... nor sits in the seats of scoffers ".

Of all the readings I love
Of all the readings I love the one from John ch 1. The promise that follows from Genesis to John is so uplifting and better than any tinsle. Loved this Rhiannon
