Holme Lacy, south of Hereford 20/12/25
Winter vista through bare trees,
swollen river ploughs on with ease
bringing water from the west.
Flooded fields from recent past
teeming rain, now drain into
majestic river passing through.
Hills look down, unmoved – they witness
lush fields dormant, city restless –
people buzzing, wanting laughter,
Christmas peace and joy hereafter.

Lovely to read your enjoying the countryside Rhiannon, and your poem shows the beauty even with the floods.
I know what you mean about the town, it's so busy here too. Went shopping today for food, it was so
crowded and everybody is rushing everywhere. I was glad to get home.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and good health and happiness in the New Year.
Jenny.

I hope you and all your wonderful family have a very Happy Christmas, and a Peaceful and Healthy New Year
