06.55 am, it is cold again, I think the sun has had enough and
cannot be bothered to shine. I am listening to Ker Plunk again and in
an hour or so I am leaving for work, as I have to go back to work
today. The holiday is over.
Yesterday (27) I woke up at 6.15 and fed the cats. Then I went online
and wrote my online journal. I also wrote my diary. I must have been
really tired as I dont remember having any dreams at all.
I played the guitar and that was okay, although I think I will need to
restring the Strat at some stage as the top three strings look a bit
knackered, but like me, maybe I need restringing as well. I dont
know.
I wiped one of my laptops and reinstalled from the recovery disk. While
this was going on, I rang Erin and she reminded me about the Bowling
For Soup album. I trundled off to Leigh, and it was still cold, and
went in Fives where I bought 'Drunk Enough To Dance' - I think a lot of
people will get this album. I also bought the new Ash single 'Envy',
their first album 'Trailer' and a Wilko Johnson album. I went in
Woolworths and bought last years Sum 41 album. I had also had lunch in
Ugos - the usual latte and chicken baguette.
I walked home, passing the Library Gardens where I had spoken to Erin
for an hour and a half, but that was last week. I got home and played
the guitar again, then listened to the new BFS album which is good,
consistent, but I think the first album is better. This one is more
surf punk than punk, but that's okay. Which reminds me, I never took
the surfing shirt I got a few weeks ago, and it looks like the Summer
is over so I wont have a chnace to wear it, unless it gets hot at the
weekend.
I went online and checked my email, which I do daily. I have some email
from B which says that they liked my recent journal entry. The trolls
are active again. Seems to me that sometimes it all gets too serious on
the board.
I stayed online for a while as Erin was on line so we had a chat. She
then had a call from Kennedy this other chap she knows, and that was
fine because I know how much Kennedy has wanted to talk to her, and who
am I to stand around monopolising time. Pretty cool.
I checked to see if Kit was online but she wasn't, so I busied myself
reading the forums and checking on the NME board which I joined today
as robocop (I was named that at Reading by a group of campers when I
had walked past with my jacket zipped up after watching Muse). I did
some online quizzes, and I am not sure what it all means other than
that I am a Type 5 consistently.
Erin and I didnt really have much of a chat but then I guess there
wasn't a lot to say in the circumstances. I am not really sure why I
did the online emo IQ tests or the sex tests, I suppose they pass the
time. I had a sausage sandwich for tea, as I had to wait till my wife
got back from Tescos with more food.
I logged off at 11.30 or thereabouts and went to bed. I think the end
of the summer is a tough time, as you have to accept that the summer is
over and its now coming up to Autumn which is followed by Winter.
New Found Glory's album 'Sticks and Stones' is really good. I remember
the songs from the gig. I need to wash the jeans I was wearing as they
are getting quite baggy. I may do my tax return tomorrow evening.
