He's laughing and joking,
Ignoring the 'phone.
It's ringing and ringing
But he won't pick up.
He knows who is calling
To spoil his fun,
Making him angry,
Won't leave him alone.
He's trying to celebrate
With turkey and friends,
Doesn't need the hassle
Of a pathetic ex.
She's sitting there waiting
While it's ringing out.
Sat crying and crying
But no-one will come.
She knows he won't answer,
Won't trouble himself.
Doesn't care anymore
That she's on her own.
Not even a week
Since he made her leave.
An empty existence
At Christmas.
