Radiator
Don't miss the old place really,
I think it did me in.
Leaned those antique wardrobes
Downriver, let them swim.
I like the nurses' stiff white hats,
So quiet and concerned.
I like my radiator
Familiar and warm.
I love the little cups of pills
Rattling tray of colours
I watch the winter setting in
I've seen the ghost of summer.
There's a painter in my head
An abstract impressionist
He made this place with blocks of stone
I finish what he missed.
