Thieves and Bad Drivers

There’s an element
to human life
a slice of ideology and energetic spit
that can be discerned
somewhere between
thieves and bad drivers
A fuming chasm
hot-bed of anger
- a crevice
in society
where warmongers plot
and rapists flourish
age old scaffolding supports
hierarchies built on spines
a place
where dusty shoes step on open mouths
as the strong
advance above the weak
a city harvesting mentalities
designed to destroy
all that would be white
here we see a sluice for soreness
where crimes are commodities
and refused pay-offs
are greeted
with intimidating teeth
and clenched beaks
here
I sit and watch near misses
grip my seat in emergency stop
reaction
listen
to the bawl of break-ins
and wipe tears from the faces
found in empty houses
