After The Waves

In a place of dark spaces , walking away from places

and the faces that used to be me .

I covered my eyes and discovered to my surprise

an ocean of thoughts I could see .

 

I swallowed the whole ocean

and followed my  emotion

where ‘words of devotion came to me ,

after the waves , I found Jesus in the caves

and he reached in and rescued  me .

 

 

After the waves ,

I was  lying on a beach somewhere

with messages in the sand  that I could understand .

The dark strangers were there no  more

on the shore with me

I could not see them anymore   ‘

 

Jesus came and saved me ,

praise his name ,

Jesus came and saved me

praise his name

.

After the waves Jesus saves ,

call out His name and you will see.

After the waves Jesus saves ,

he came so you and I would live eternally .

 

In a place where my dreams came true ,

I found a life with someone

who loves me for who I am

and more and more I find ,

the  past is better left behind

after the waves washed the sand    .

 

Jesus came and saved me ,

praise his name ,

.

After the waves Jesus saves ,

After the waves Jesus saves ,

he came so you and I would live eternally .
