Because It Was Sunday

Some days were windy and cool

others days I went go to school .

We didn’t go on a bus

because we walked , all of us .

On winter days we all froze ,

shivering in our school clothes .

We wrote , we spoke and we read ,

with pens , mouths and in our head

Then when it came the weekend

we all went and said Amen.

No school , we all went to pray ,

all because it was Sunday.

On Sundays we went to mass ,

most if us in every class .

At St Gabes no school today ,

all because it was Sunday .
