Freedom of Speech

I‘m not a tale for you to tell,
nor melodies for you to sing.
In darkness where the shadows dwell,
I rise beyond what mainstreams bring.
I'm not a voice for you to hear,
or something else for you to see,
yet in your heart I will draw near,
a silent force that sets you free.
I'm neither name nor fleeting thought,
but living sparks that fuel your dreams,
In every battle bravely fought,
I am the river's endless streams.
Do not confine me to your gaze,
or bind me with your daisy chains,
for I am more than nights or days,
an echo of shared human pains.
Scream out my name from hilltops high,
Let soar it far through starry skies,
for in each tear and every sigh
lives rising hope that unifies.

This gave me chills — defiant
This gave me chills — defiant, luminous, and deeply resonant. It reads like both a protest and a benediction. Beautiful work.

I think it's beautiful! Both in it's language and what it evokes :)
