Have you heard of the clever cockatoos
who've somehow found they can often use
the public drinking fountains – surprising ruse –
feet twist the handle, press down – so choose
this good supply
 – sometimes they wait in queues!
(onlookers they entertain, amuse!).

Hi Rhiannon, it doesn't surprise me at all, A friend of mine from long ago used to keep these birds. Cockatoos are so clever and pick up how to do things quickly, they love to mimick.

I believe you! They are very clever, excellent pets, good companions! When I was living on my own, great for company, they and the radio.

But my favourites always were budgies, just not when they die, but you get over it.
