Lord I remember desperately
hoping that you existed, then
swearing blindly the next
day that you didn't.
Blame is wrong especially
when its yourself that's in the wrong.
But my heart was shrouded in ropes, drowning
in an empty sea, I could not see.
Until finally I gave up, gave into the current
and there you were waiting for me.
A quaint, little boat speckled with silver.
You offered to sail with me,
as long as i gave you company.
And the waters grew clearer, with that my sight
Everything was beautiful, ever so bright.
Now my heart beats strong yet gentle at once.
Since we hoisted up the sails I've not felt one rope.
