This life is a plastic wrap:
A bubble of conformity 
Governed by such apathy
That leads to a spinal tap.
The latex screen screams
It's voice vile prosperous
Tells us we have no choice
As long as we live the dream!
So stuff our ears with money,
Text our comments in alienation
And forget about the fracking bomb.  

We serve our time in a shell.
Prisoners of the mainframe
Seeking the 15 min’s of fame,
Not knowing the walls of hell.
The monster “I “screams mean
And we so  ignorantly bow
As we serve this fake empty now
Not knowing the real scheme.
So stuff our eyes with sex games Te
Tell our fears to dead computers
And lie about the fracking bomb.

 

Its all coming to a sick and shitty end
The world the sky and the stars
And all that was once in cars,  
Is ripped in boils of blood and the bends.
Are our plastic lives are simply lies
That we promote through cardboard boxes
Which  we then flog on sad golf courses
That exist  to just wash away the  sky?
Can’t we really hear the spirit cry?
Or shall we stuff our mouths with products
As we blank our darkest fears to us
While we lie about the fracking bomb.

Fracking bomb is captialised and uncapitalised. I share many of your concerns.

This has got some good qualities,Alphadog and you are right about us often stuffing our lives with mind-numbing trash. The poem reminds me of Adrian Mitchell's poem 'To whom it May Concern'. AM was the first poet I saw live and he made a strong impression.         Elsie

Adrian Mitchell's  "to whom it may concern"  was the inspration for the poem, Its not direct plagerism,  but the thouights were there, loating through my mind when I was considering modern up to date politrical issues today. This is the second draft so there will be some changes, which I have already added to the text in my note book, as well as ammeneded on the varuous facebook poetry sites I am a member of. 
yes it needs work, and I am never satisfied. But I will come back to it later. 

Thanks for the feedback, are there any texts  of yours you would like me to look at?

I think AM would have liked your update.   What texts would I Iike you to look at? My non fiction,when you have time, some of this is in my book reviews and interviews collection. Two of my non-fiction pieces have won me complimentary copies of books. My review of 'in the day' got me two freebies from Bob Mann, Kevin's publisher;' A most Haunting Castle writings from the ruins of Berry Pomeroy' and 'ielfstans Place'; both well worth reading. I also sent my favourite living poet Tom Leonard 'To Revolution Singing' and he sent me 'Definite Articles' which is mainly opinion pieces and slices of  autobiography. It's good.
