Gossip...Summer Sun

A gossip column about the lives of 4 fictional women living in
Cairo.

She told him that she wanted him. But she pulled away when he held her
hand and giggled while he kissed her neck. He thought she was strange.
And yet he smeared her expensive lip-gloss and then let her walk
away.

A month ago she was conservative. Now she's uncensored. Every voice
inside her head was always telling her to let go. She finally started
listening

She sipped her beer hoping it would make her a little less inhibited.
That night she slipped into his bed and let the alcohol do the talking.
She ended up not needing to say much.

She never knew she'd enjoy it so much when he bit her. And he had never
seen her under the influence while under his sheets, under his
spell.

She snuck out to meet him then found him covered in a sea of light
brown hair and red lipstick. She laughed at what she had called 'irony'
and he watched her laugh the night away.

They had waited so long for each other. She had left her fianc? because
she had finally realized. Now it was her turn to wait.

They spent their days at work chattering away like love struck
teenagers. At night he went home to his wife and kids while she spent
her nights trying to block out that image.

They didn't talk about the future but it took a lot out of her to keep
her train of thought from moving towards her dreams.
