Graveyard

It's not the typical graveyard,
made an island by roads
My calm within the storm
I can see my house from here,
How can that home
Hold all that
But that's why I left it,
Distance muffles the shouting,
Yet prolongs it,
There is the standard yew here though,
Pagan reminder of the happiness before
And the headstones, levered up by its intrusive roots
