Need

need

let me live another day
in your presence
i bask
the real me only present with you there
or knowing you could be there
at my disposal
i would never dispose you, so important to me
to place so much worth on another human,
not healthy?
i don't know because mankind needs each other
we are sadly saddled with such a fate
and so exuberantly rejoice in this need when harvest time is golden and
the fruits of love fall from trees bursting with plenty, greedy
times
times when life over flows with the simple joy of breathing each others
air
exuberant like a little girl
a life without company is not a life but an existence hollow
like a man in the desert searching for an oasis
the thought of love painful in my stomach keeps me alive
like a feverish drought in my throat
a melancholy planet without a sun
no flowers can bloom, memories of flowers can even vanish in such
infertile sad soil
almost a blessing if such existence was necessary
