Permafrost garden
Let me take you to a place I know .
It's called the permafrost garden.
The ground is covered in two feet of snow,
And surrounded by permafrost woodland.
The cool air will turn your cheeks red.
But you'll be safe inside your winter coat.
Warmer than being tucked up in bed.
With glee you climb the hill like a mountain goat.
I'll introduce you to the fun time crew.
Tommy, Billy, Katie and Sue.
We'll throw some snowballs, go sledge racing too.
The gang have all been dieing to meet you.
Come and I'll show you where the snowmen are.
We can watch them from that hill.
Come along it isn't far.
We can even watch them drive there little snow car.
How many are there?
I count ten.
What are they doing?
I think they're building people-men.
Yes people-men. I seem them now.
Made from corpses and old clothes.
That one's made from bit's of cow.
Though built like that, I don't know how.
That one has a baby's head.
And I'm sure that leg belonged to old Fred.
Ten ghastly monsters standing in a row.
Listen! Can you hear them whine and crow?
The snowmen have seen us!
Quickly now. We have to go.
Don't turn around. Don't stop. Don't stall.
Just run. Run. Run!
Oh isn't this so much fun?
The people-men awaken now.
More so they whine.
Louder they crow.
Moving with limbs through which blood no longer flows.
Joyfully we run towards the frozen trees.
Tommy running as fast as he could.
But small and fat as he was.
He fell behind in the race to the wood.
None of us would think to pause.
It's his fault for imitating Santa Claus.
The people-men would love to eat.
The snowmen can smell fresh meat.
Between them they unanimously feel.
That children would be their favourite meal.
Laughing and panting we reach the trees.
The mad dash ran with the greatest of ease.
Tommy didn't make it though.
And over him the pursuit did flow.
Happily we turn to watch them disembowel.
Wolves from behind us began to howl.
Excitedly I began to prance.
For I knew if they got the chance.
They'd kill us next, in deadly dance.
Much more of this fun and I think I'll wet my pants.
So come to the permafrost garden.
Come now, and bring your friends.
It's a wonderful place
Where winter never ends.
