Prayer

"Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep."
For if I dream of wonderland
I need you there to hold my hand.

If I should wake, and be alone
Please be there to guide me home
Show me the way, shine a light
To help me through the long dark night.

I think that I may dream of you
In such a way that scares me through
Hold me close, don't let me go
I want to feel you love me so.

And when I call aloud your name
I hope that you will feel the same
So if I cry, and cling to you
You'll know that I'll be there for you.

"If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul take."
But remember this your whole life through
That I'll have loved no-one but you.
