Seasons
Summer swelters with inferno heat.
Ice creams make a welcome treat.
Hazy days of blissful rest,
Beside the sparkling sea is often best.
Autumn comes, and the leaves fall.
Colder days, now Jack Frost calls.
Rustic colours in the paling sun.
Horse-Chestnut fruits for children's fun.
Winter cold gnaws at the marrowed bone.
Biting North winds rage around our homes.
Blizzard snows and icy roads slow our dash.
Skaters careering on frozen ponds and crash.
Spring begins the cycle once again
Lush green meadows drink up the rain.
Hedgerows teem with hectic flurries
As to nesting the birds are hurried.
