Two Timer
He didn't want to look at her again.
He felt like a deep-sea diver,
Struggling towards the glittering surface in agonizing pain.
Lungs about to explode, emotions running away.
But the pull was strong, a bond calling,
He couldn't keep them all at bay.
The heat of her blood took him by surprise.
A firm shake of reassurance and love,
Comforting but couldn't hide his guilt or lies.
He tried to get her relaxed and in a receptive mood.
But the vehemence in those eyes of pearl,
Shone of sorrow, pity more worry for him to brood.
He wondered if she felt the same revulsion built up inside.
Can she trust again? Or forgive,
A truce is something between enemies there's nowhere left to crawl and
hide.
Cheating seemed so industrious at first,
You think you've been so very clever.
Then the thought of ones loss spreads through your veins like a deadly
curse.
