Words uttered to pass the time

'It's beautiful.'
Is it? I hope it is because it is all for you. Laid out bare, stipped
of all defences and fallacies. I shattered the glass walls I spent
years building for you to come inside.
You stay silent.
Every second of your silence chops in to my spine, cutting at me and
implanting poisoned seeds of doubt, insecurity and hatred. But only for
myself. What did you do to deserve me? Why have you been punnished by
my burden? I love you so much but I am not fit to receive such emotion
in return. These tainted thoughts fester with your forced
absence.
Then you hold me.
With your words you cradle my hurt and stroke the painful wounds that
were forced into my soul. The terbulent passion that rips me with doubt
is reassured by the your cool touch. The fire is never dampened, but
controlled. It scares me that one day it could burn you.
Then you kiss me.
Silence. My mind is silent. The metropolis that goes on behind my cold
eyes is stopped for a second, all the voices looking out at you, the
vision of beauty in front of me. Dark ribbons frame the china beauty of
your face, your soul naked within the warm ice iris of your eyes. It's
a beauty I never deserved to behold.
'I need to rewrite your brain'
And so you do. Every day the angels of my soul kill the demons of my
tortured mind and you are leading them to battle. You give them
strength, you heal them when they are sick. You help me win my
battles.
And every battle won, brings me closer to being good enough for
you.
