Fearless

The child
Plays with the sun
It shines from her eyes
She rules all she surveys.
She is not afraid
To walk a narrow wall
Ten thousand feet tall.

The girl
Plays with the son
He shines in her heart -
They don't know how to hurt.
She is not afraid
To leap across the abyss
For the promise in his kiss.

The woman
Enjoys the sun
Playing on her skin
Knowing tomorrow it will rain.
She is not afraid
To love her children as they grow
Knowing tomorrow they will go.
