If we only stay our footsteps as we travel life's hectic way
Stop for a heart beat moment
Tis but a short delay
Become an island of isolation as we lift our face to azure skies.
Watch as swallows waltz across our vision carried high on their joyful cries.
Feel the cooling breath of summer caress our cheek with her sultry kiss
Hear the droning bees weave through scented flowers drunk from sweet nectars' bliss
Glimpse diamond misted silken webs draped across a bottle laying on the earth
Catch the gentle sigh of a jewelled butterfly a miracle of her own re- birth
Watch dust mote midges dancing a par de deux on a puddle of rain
As soldier ants sally forth across the ground brave guardians of their whole domain
So why not stay our footsteps as we travel life's hectic way
See the wonder that's all about us
Tis but a short delay.
